About This Event
From October 19 to 24, Whitby residents can participate in National Waste Reduction Week through item drop-offs, reusable mug discounts, and a repair event on October 24. This week offers opportunities for those looking to recycle specialty items or fix broken household goods.
Learn how to repair, reuse, and support a circular economy during a series of community activities hosted by the Town of Whitby.
- Drop off used razors, writing instruments, and home care products at the Whitby Public Library Central Branch throughout the week.
- Bring small electronics, clothing, or home appliances to the Whitby Public Library Central Branch for repairs by volunteer experts on the final day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Sign up for an appointment for the repair event through the organizer's online booking link.
- Use a reusable mug at The Souk to support Habitat for Humanity.
