Can I set off fireworks for Diwali in Durham Region?
Each municipality sets its own rules. In Oshawa, residents may set off consumer fireworks on their own property without a permit from dusk to 11 p.m. on Diwali, as on Victoria Day and Canada Day. Other Durham municipalities have their own by-laws, so check with your town or city before Diwali.
Is there school on Diwali in Durham Region?
