Winter Wonderland in Watercolour

Tuesday, November 24th 1pm-4pm. $120 +HST
Relaxed and interactive Watercolour Workshops designed for beginner and intermediate painters in a small group setting, held at the Scugog Arts Space in Port Perry. Come and celebrate the unique qualities of watercolour with instructor Sandra MacPherson. Hands-on practice will focus on using watercolour washes to create a simple landscape. Discussion covers setting up a palette, planning a painting, colour mixing, and balancing water with pigment for bright brights and dark darks!

A painter for over 30 years, Sandra’s portfolio of watercolour and acrylic work includes landscapes, historic homes, florals, and figurative paintings. Working in both watercolour and acrylic allows for contrasts in process and style, resulting in expressive paintings with themes of peace and community. Sandra has studied at OCAD and in numerous workshops with local artists. She is a member of Scugog Arts, the Port Perry Artists’ Association, and the Scugog Studio Tour. Her work is included in permanent collections at Heintzman House in Thornhill and Caledonia House in Stratford, as well as in private and corporate collections across Canada. She offers workshops in her studio in Port Perry and is excited to teach at Scugog Arts.
