About This Event

Oil paint-making with Michelle Peraza In this workshop, Michelle Peraza will demonstrate oil making practices by outlining the pigment extraction process naturally sourced from organic or inorganic (i.e. plant, bug vs. earth pigments). In a Mesoermicanframework, from either the upper or lower worlds. Participants will grind pigments with a mortar and pestle and learn to bind pigments to linseed oil through the traditional method with a muller and glass slab. Paint samples were given to each participant to try the colour on paper.
