Basics of Oil Painting

Wednesday, October 21st, 1pm – 4pm. $85 + HST
Whether you have oil painted in the past or are looking to start and further your skills, then this is the workshop for you. In this class you will be guided through the alla prima method of painting, wet on wet, finishing a small piece in one workshop. You will be working with the three primary colours to learn the basics of mixing, how to paint from thin to thick paint, and the values of light and darks. Laurel Martin, a talented and well-established fine art Canadian Oil Painter, will simplify what may seem like the complicated world of oil painting. You will learn the basics on which you can build a stronger understanding of oil painting. This workshop will have a continuation in November; participants are welcome to sign up for both!
