Tiff Ajax Film Circuit – Meadowlarks or Tuner

Join us for the TIFF Ajax Film Circuit at the Ajax Centre for the Arts!

Here’s your chance to watch films from the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) without driving into the city, dealing with traffic jams and paying for parking – it’s all right here in Ajax! Film selections include Canadian and foreign made films, contemporary cinema and thought-provoking independent films.

Meadowlarks

Meadowlarks tells the story of four Cree siblings, separated since childhood and now in their fifties, who agree to meet for the first time over a holiday weekend in Banff. Without the usual markers of familiarity, or a shared sense of cultural belonging, they discover unexpected moments of joyous synchronicity, conflict, and connection. With further guidance from the warmth of a newly discovered community, the fledgling family is invited to heal. Excited and curious, but also scarred and afraid of rejection, the Meadowlark siblings must contend with where they have been, and who they will become, especially to one another.
